When I first met with Ruth and Stephen to talk about their wedding plans I was really excited, an outdoor wedding in Lisnavagh House, barbecue on the lawn with friends and family, fire pits and marshmallows, I knew it was going to be brilliant. I was blown away by the whole day though, they incorporated so many personal touches and lovely details, along with colour and fun and natural laid back beauty. They decided to take things easy and have a first look and family photos at the start of the day with their gorgeous baby girl, and a pre wedding photo shoot in the woods before walking up streamer-strewn tunnel of trees to a clearing where their guests were waiting for the ceremony. After a simple but emotional humanist ceremony they meandered up with the guests to the house for a spit roast on the lawn with games and drinks. The heavens opened but it just made for dramatic skies while the guests enjoyed the beautiful rooms in Lisnavagh House. After dinner the skies cleared and fires were lit outside for marshmallow roasting while the band lit up the dancefloor.
Just whittling it down to the crazy number of photos I have in this post was difficult for me to do! I had Alec from Luminaire Weddings with me and he has a gorgeous video of the day up on his site here.
Thanks so much Ruth and Stephen for inviting me along for the ride, I hope the photos did your day justice!
