Anne-Marie and Mark are such easy people to be around and that means they were a pleasure to photograph. The mood and the attitude of the couple at a wedding sets the tone for everything that happens during the day so their wedding day was happy, fun and bright. They were also happy to go along with any photo suggestions I might have so when I asked Anne-Marie would she sit in the grass she didn’t even bat an eyelid. Add to all this a beautiful day that was all hot sunshine mixed with dramatic clouds I smiled all the way through it. There were also some familiar friendly faces; a previous bride and two of her sisters who have been bridesmaids in front of my camera a few times over now.
We didn’t need to go anywhere beyond a golden field of grass just a few steps from the front of the House for some beautiful light. One of my big concerns at every wedding day is to make sure that the bride and groom get plenty of time with their guests to enjoy the party that they’ve been planning for so long so this perfect location right on doorstop was the cherry on top of the day.
